Above and Beyond Award – Victoria Cross and George Cross Association for Year 6 teachers

For the attention of: Year 6 teachers (primary phase, Ealing)

The Victoria Cross and George Cross Association (the membership society for living holders of the nation’s highest awards for courage and gallantry) is inviting primary schools to take part in their Above and Beyond Award programme.

This is a three-lesson offer, delivered across the school year (one lesson each term), designed to support pupils’ character development while learning about the extraordinary stories of Victoria Cross and George Cross recipients – including some with close links to schools and communities in Ealing.

The programme has been successfully piloted in Southwark schools, with lesson plans, curriculum links and testimonies available on Victoria Cross and George Cross Association – Educational Work
