Winner of the Lord Paul Boateng Award 2025

At Descendants' 20th annual achievement awards, the Winner of the Lord Paul Boateng Award 2025 was Gabriel Amiaka, a student from Twyford High school.

Gabriel, along with his parents and Descendant's Childrens Charity members, was presented with his award at the House of Commons by Lord Boateng.

Gabriel's spoke about his experience of the day

"How inspiring it is to walk alongside and drink tea with such an incredible man, who boldly stepped into the UK parliament as the first black cabinet minister and changed the UK for good. I am so grateful to Descendants and Lord Paul Boateng for this opportunity, and I have learnt that if I work hard and commit my plans to the Lord I can be successful beyond my wildest aspirations"
