Ealing governor training

Ealing provides a wide range of training opportunities to enable governors, trustees and clerks to develop and enhance their knowledge and skills.

These courses are free of charge to governors/ trustees/ clerks of schools that have purchased the Ealing’s CPD and training service level agreement (ask your school’s CPD leader if you are unsure) otherwise there is a small charge to your school.

Ealing Learning Partnership (ELP) governance accreditation

The governance locally accredited programme for 2023/24 is available for all governors/ trustees/ clerks, who in any one academic year complete:

  • Four training sessions (including learning conversations) +
  • A brief self-review* (word) of the difference any training has made to practice and next steps

On submission, successful governors/ trustees/ clerks will receive an ELP governance accreditation certificate.

Local authority networks and briefings

Ealing Governor Services run a range of network sessions aimed at chairs, all governors and clerks. In addition there are termly DSL/Safeguarding governor and SENCo/ SEND governor networks.

The networks / briefings are free to all governors/trustees and clerks of Ealing Learning Partnership (ELP) schools.

Bespoke training for Ealing governing boards

Bespoke work/training for governing boards can be accessed via the Ealing’s universal school improvement offer brokered with link officers.

Alternatively, schools can buy bespoke support from recommended experts, which Ealing Governor Services can advise and facilitate.
