Locality based workshops – PVIs, primary and secondary schools
These workshops will bring together local PVIs, Primary and Secondary SENCOs (Inclusion Leads, Family partnership workers etc) and key service providers to explore how we can work together to support schools to serve their children and young people and immediate community.
OT, SALT, EHCCOs and community partners will attend. We will look at quadrant SEN data, discuss challenges and explore how we can work together. This will be a great opportunity to meet each other and network across phases.

Behaviour management training
4 part sessions exploring how to prepare for the best possible chance of success in the classroom. Each session is a mix of discussion, video and group work, sharing our experiences to solve general and specific concerns in the classroom and culminating in a plan to ensure the start of the next academic year is as successful as possible.
Develop successful behaviour management and learn about:

This term:
- Parent & practitioner trainings run by SLT team (Introduction to Makaton signing)
- Parent training sessions run jointly by ES SEND team and SLT team (Visually supported communication for parents, Understanding Autism and social communication, supporting Autistic children and children with social communication needs with their communication, Promoting positive behaviour)
- Makaton Sign Time group – for children 0-5 to come and learn Makaton with their parents- everyone and anyone is welcome!
- Fun and Learn group for children 0-5 with identified social communication/attention and listening needs
- Talk and Play group for children 0- 5 with language needs
- Drop in/advice sessions to children's centre's stay and play sessions
- Sing, Sign and Play: weekly music therapy group for children 0-5 with social communication or complex needs

Education, health and care (EHC) co-ordinator allocations

EHAP Review –survey
Can you spare 5 -10 minutes to provide feedback on the EHAP guidance, forms, protocols, and training? The EHAP review survey will now be available until 22/1/2023. Survey link: EHAP Review - Survey for EHAP Users (Professionals)
For those wanting to participate in the EHAP review working group, they should submit their contact information when prompted at the end of this survey.
There are two working group sessions available:

Preparing for adulthood
The LA have arranged for BASE (The British Association for Supported Employment) part of the Internship Works project to deliver Vocational Profiling training for schools. If you would like more details please contact Coni Buzuleac buzuleacc@ealing.gov.uk
The training will be delivered via Zoom covering the following themes:
- Boosting aspirations for young people with SEND
- An overview of the core values which underpin supported employment and how they are applied when vocational profiling
- Future planning – what more can be done in schools/colleges to boost ambition in the system?
